Vintage hand-carved wooden chess set with folding storage board.

This set features beautifully turned and carved wooden pieces in two tones (light and dark stain), each with felt bottoms. The board folds into a storage case to hold all pieces securely.

Included is the original packing paper, which is a Spanish-language newspaper dated June 24, 1980 (Mexico), adding a unique vintage touch and possible origin clue.

Condition:

Very good vintage condition. All pieces are intact with no chips or cracks. Variations in color and texture are due to natural wood grain and carving, not damage. Looks like they have never been used. Pieces have a glossy finish. Light surface wear to the board consistent with age. Please review photos for details.
