This 2 Pin European VDE Battery Charger Adaptor (BCA) is an adapter that converts the European CEE VII VDE Plug top power supply to the BS1363 system format. The adaptor is designed and manufactured to meet the requirements of BS5733. It complies fully with the LVD and Plug and Socket Safety Regulations. The design of the clamping  method ensures the body of the European CEE VII plug top power supply plug body is enclosed. It has been tested and approved for use with plug top power supplies (e.g. mobile phone chargers, battery chargers, night lights and the like).

Installation System Instructions:
The Battery Charger Adaptor (BCA) is designed for use within the BS1363 Plug and Socket system only, as defined by the Wiring Regulations BS 7671. 

Fitting: 
The Euro Adaptor (BCA) should be fitted as follows 
1. Insert the power supply or CEE7 plug in to the Battery Charger Adaptor (BCA) 
2. Tighten retaining screw (seen in this listing, 6th photo)  to 6.12 Kgf.cm (hand tight)
3. TEST: Grip the BCA and pull the VDE transformer to ensure fully secure, if not then increase the torque setting and further tighten. Re-test. 
4. Now the BCA is ready for use. 
NOTE: Cover in non-removable; the screw does not release the cover. Also, once plugged into the wall, the flap slides in to close off access to the lock screw.

The other area that most couriers exclude from "UK mainland" is the Scottish Highlands and Islands, which includes postcodes starting with IV, HS, and ZE, and some AB, KA, KW, PA, and PH postcodes. This is simply because these areas take more time to reach. Since they are also not so densely populated, parcel collections or parcel delivery is less frequent and therefore becomes a more expensive journey due to lack of volume.
