MacOS 12.7.6 Monterey (using Open Core Legacy Patcher OCLP)
This a good working laptop. It is in good physical condition for its age (9/10). Some small scratches from normal use. NO dents. Battery holds charge but WILL need to be replaced. It’s an easily removable one, though. Optical drive does NOT read discs. It spins and then ejects them. It has been upgraded to MacOS 12.7.6 Monterey using Open Core Legacy Patcher (OCLP). It takes a little longer to startup but it runs quite smoothly. Last natively supported version of MacOS is 10.11.6 El Capitan which doesn’t support any modern browsers and other newer software. This is a good update. It makes the laptop still useful. I tried MacOS 13, 14, 15 using OCLP and it ran way too sluggish to be any good. It CANNOT be upgraded to macOS Tahoe as OCLP does not support it yet. You will need to IGNORE the update notice in System Preferences.
