What to expect in a hobby box:

2026 Topps Heritage Baseball continues a nostalgic hobby tradition that has stretched more than a quarter of a century.

Since its inception in 2001, Topps Heritage has brought back a Topps flagship design from the past in chronological order. That means in 2026 collectors will find modern players on the 1977 Topps design.

Collectors can expect one autograph or memorabilia card in every hobby box, and mega and blaster boxes will have exclusive parallels.

2026 Topps Heritage Baseball Checklist Overview

As usual, Topps Heritage will be aimed at set builders but will also deliver some of the bells and whistles collectors expect from a modern release.

The base design will mirror that of the 1977 Topps Baseball set, which was a 660-card affair led by a three notable rookies cards.

Hall of Famer Andre Dawson and 1980s baseball legend Dale Murphy both made their cardboard debuts on separate quad rookie cards within the set, while Hall of Famer Bruce Sutter has a solo rookie in the product. Other notable cards on the checklist include a slew of Hall of Famers, a Thurman Munson All-Star card released a year after he won MVP honors, Reggie Jackson?s first New York Yankees card, and a cult classic in Mark Fidrych?s rookie card, which includes the Topps All-Star Rookie emblem.

The 2026 version will include various subsets from the 1977 checklist like League Leaders, Record Breakers, LCS and World Series Highlights, Quad Rookies, and the Heritage debut of Turn Back the Clock.

Short prints are scattered throughout the set instead of being the final 100 cards as has been the case in recent years. There are still 100 short-printed cards within the base set.

Among base parallels will be Deckle Edge and Color Of The Year ? Heritage Orange (/77). Collectors will also be looking for various variations.

In terms of autographs in the 2026 Heritage set, Real One Autographs will again lead the chase, with hard-signed signatures and Red Ink versions numbered to /77.

Chrome Autographs will also return, with several colorful parallels included.

Additional autograph concepts include Turn Back The Clock Autographs, Real One Quad Autographs, and Expansion Autographs, which celebrate the inaugural season of the Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners, who both joined the American League in 1977.

On the relic side, collectors will look for Clubhouse Collection Relics, Flashback Relics, and Real Once Relics, which feature today?s players and players who appeared on the 1977 Topps checklist.
