Here we have a beautiful WMF Art Nouveau Cherub Silver Plated Fruit Stand Centrepiece, very rare in today’s world to find one in this condition. 
This centrepiece is very detailed and stylish with wonderful workmanship and quality as you would expect from WMF. 

To appreciate the beauty of this please checkout the photos as the style of this piece is simply beautiful, from the detailed sculptured Cherub, its art nouveau embossed fluted dome base and the matching detachable fluted flower petal shaped silver fruit bowl.
The detachable Silver fluted Fruit Bowl fits perfectly into the stands fitting precisely, without any movement or wobbles whatsoever,

The piece is fully signed on the inside of the base with a small running ostrich on the central button ( Very Small ) plus 1/0 for thickness of silver used and NS for Nickel silver, also stamped 1/0 & NS on the stands fitting for the fruit Bowl ( flange ) plus the inner circle of the fruit bowl ( very difficult to see ) photo number 21.

Condition
Is excellent, very little silver loss, only a small amount on the high points of some motifs.
 No dents, dints or nasty scratches, does have some scratches on the underside recess of the under base, of course no body can see this as its impossible to see when displayed, they are also minimal 
Shows no wear to the Cherub structure and very little silver loss ( If any ).
 The Silver plated Fruit bowl is structurally strong and sturdy, very little silver loss on a light peppering which is very minor, Fruit Bowls fittings are perfect without any silver loss or damage,
This piece is a genuine antique being over 120 years of age, although its in excellent condition, it may show minor signs of wear commensurate with age and use.

Its a lovely piece, with a wonderful presence, pure style and quality.
Displays wonderfully and a totally usable antique.

Although the photos are very bright due to the sun, the cherub stand is beautifully polished and literally gleams.  the photos are a true image & just a little over exposed due to the sun ( Unusual for the UK )
