A 1954 ES-175N has arrived. Since its introduction in 1949, the ES-175 has been a highly popular full-hollow model representing Gibson. The wood materials, consisting of a laminated maple body, one-piece mahogany neck, and jacaranda fingerboard, along with the 16-inch body, produce a sound that is both airy and appropriately hard—a sound unique to this era that is rarely found in modern models. The smooth amp sound, delivered by the P-90 pickups, is also appealing, being both brilliant and moderately full.
