The Cult brand was conceived as a limited edition of 200 numbered pieces. The caseback is engraved accordingly: GP CULT 007/200. The trademark conflict that ended the brand before it launched means the 200 pieces were never made. These two prototypes are all that remain of a production run that never happened.

The name Cult could not be registered in the watch industry. The design was complete. The movement was sourced. The cases were made. The motto was chosen — FORTIS FORTUNA ADIUVAT, Latin for Fortune Favors the Bold, printed in red across the lower dial. Everything was ready except the name, and without the name nothing could proceed. The brand was shelved. The prototypes were kept. You are looking at one of them.

The case is 41.5mm of 316L stainless steel in a brushed finish, rated to 10ATM — a serious water resistance specification that places this firmly in tool watch territory. The bezel is a twelve-sided dodecagon, each facet carrying a Roman numeral from the traditional clock face. It is an unusual and deliberate design choice that gives this watch an architectural presence that round-bezel sport watches do not have. The crystal is flat sapphire. The crown is screw-in for maximum water integrity.

The movement is a Miyota 8215 — a 21-jewel Japanese automatic with date, known for reliability and longevity. The black sunburst dial is fitted with luminous triangular indexes and matching luminous hands, with a red seconds hand providing the single point of color contrast against the dark field. The strap is black FKM — the same high-performance rubber compound used in dive applications — giving this variant a clean, aggressive sport character consistent with the 10ATM rating.
