Fender Vintage Stratocaster '70 Sunburst/r Used Electric Guitar

This is a large-head Stratocaster shipped around 1970. Early CBS logo models, featuring the prominent "WITH SYNCHRONIZED TREMOLO" inscription, are highly valued and popular in the market. This particular guitar is in player's condition, with some pickup replacements.

Body
The overall weight is approximately 3.6kg. The body is made of alder. The finish used during this period was "Fender Thick-Skin High-Gloss," which uses a polyester base coat. The 3-tone sunburst color features a distinctive brownish gradient on the top, with the reddish tones fading nicely. The back retains much of its reddish hue. A routing for a humbucker is visible below the rear pickup position. The pickguard, prone to shrinkage over time, has been replaced. Overall, while there are some characteristic weather checking typical of the Thick-Skin finish, minor dents, and tarnishing on the metal parts, it's in remarkably good condition considering its age. Other modifications include replacement pickup covers and control knobs.

Neck
The neck is made of maple with a beautiful, shimmering grain. The fingerboard is made of rosewood. There is some tarnishing on the metal parts and some minor dents around the headstock, but like the body, it is in very good condition. The tuners are Fender F-key; there is some slight variation in the winding, but they function properly. The frets and nut have been replaced once and currently show almost no wear, resulting in good playability. Headstock thickness: 15.6mm. Nut width: 41.0mm. It features a very sturdy neck shape.
The controls are the orthodox Stratocaster style: 5-way pickup selector, master volume, neck (front) position tone, and center position tone. The pickups have been replaced with the "Fat 50s Strat Set," hand-wound pickups by Josefina Campos, a Fender Custom Shop master pickup winder known for being difficult to obtain. Other potentiometers, switches, and tone capacitors have also been replaced. Based on the excellent response that comes from utilizing old materials, it boasts a warm and responsive front/center position, and a fat and grippy rear position.
