  • SKIM VAC 11/4 INCHES AND 11/2 INCHESCOMBO HOSE ELBOW ADAPTER - The combo hose adapter is removable and replaceable with elbow adapter part number SPX1088H. The 90-degree elbow has a 1 3/10-inch opening with a 1 1/10-inch adapter for vacuum hoses.

And since SP1089 is a front access skimmer, you'll need to remove the cover or the wire to install the Skim-Vac.
  • DOES NOT INCLUDE RUBBER GASKET - This product is one of the Skim-Vac models that does not come with a rubber gasket. This Skim-Vac model relies on its specially designed sealing surface. Please note that scuffs or other types of surface damage may affect the Skim-Vac’s ability to hold suction.

How to Install and Use Your Replacement SP11071 Vacuum Plate
  • 1. Install the vacuum hose on the pool vacuum head to prepare for vacuuming.
  • 2. Keep the pump and filter system open and fill the vacuum hose with water.
  • 3. Connect the hose to the Skim-Vac’s hose adapter end. Make sure that there’s water in the hose.
  • 4. Insert the Skim-Vac through the skimmer’s front window and place it over the skimmer basket.
  • 5. Hold the Skim-Vac firmly in place until all air is removed from the vacuum hose. Once this happens, you’ll be to feel the suction from the inlet holding the Skim-Vac in place.
  • 6. Vacuum as usual.
