While this mod is not necessarily difficult, it does require soldering skills.
- Charge and Data Only. Comes with adapter PCB, USB-C socket, and three resistors (two need to be installed, one is extra). This is the easiest to install and is adequate for 90% of people.
- Charge, Data, and OTG. Comes with adapter PCB, USB-C socket, USB logic chip, two resistors (one needs to be installed, one is extra), and two capacitors (one needs to be installed, one is extra). This is more difficult to install due to the logic chip, but this will retain the OTG support the calculator natively has. This version will require a small jumper wire as well (not included) Magnet wire works perfect, but any slim wire will do.
This is not my design, I'm only supplying this as a kit for convenience. For the original source files and everything you need in order to source the parts yourself, look for qnex0 and sabogalc github accounts. (ebay won't allow me to link to github, so you'll have to search for it) They did some clever work making this possible.
There's minimum orders for some of these parts, which leads to extra cost and unnecessary components for those who only have one calculator to mod. This listing lets people with one calculator order a kit with only what they need, skipping the extra parts and digging through datasheets to make sure the part numbers are exactly what you need.
I have the means to perform this mod so if you're not comfortable doing the mod yourself, send me a message and we can work something out.
