Alex Delvecchio’s nickname was Fats. He was the Red Wings team captain for 12 seasons and won 3 Stanley cups with the team. He was awarded the Lady Byng memorial trophy three times, the Lester Patrick trophy once, and he was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1977. His number 10 jersey was retired at Joe Louis arena on November 10, 1991.
