Gibson 1950 CF-100E / 1994 Used Acoustic Guitar 1994

The "Gibson Centennial Collection" was planned in 1994 to commemorate Gibson's 100th anniversary. Twelve models were produced each month at the Nashville and Montana factories, with 100 units of each model manufactured. This anniversary model was a huge success throughout Gibson. This particular instrument is the "1950 CF-100E," one of the September models produced at the Montana factory. The "CF-100E," along with the "J-160E," which had a short lifespan of less than 10 years after its introduction in 1951, is considered one of the origins of Gibson acoustic-electric guitars. It was introduced in 1950 as a cutaway flat-top model with X-bracing, based on the "CF-100" released the previous year, but equipped with a P-90 pickup. This guitar features a spruce top, mahogany sides and back, mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, tortoiseshell pickguard, Gibson Shield Back Deluxe tuners, headstock crown inlay, pearloid dish inlays on the fingerboard, P-90 pickups, Florentine cutaway, and a "Centenial Special" metal plate. Like the LG series, it has a small body size but features scalloped X-bracing and an all-solid wood construction, allowing you to enjoy a solid acoustic sound. It has a deep, resonant, earthy sound. The crisp yet muddy tone can be enjoyed in a bluesy way. There are some minor scratches such as weather checking and paint lifting around the bridge due to age, but there is no damage that would significantly detract from the instrument, and it is in good condition. The neck is in good condition, maintaining an easy playability action while leaving plenty of saddle margin. This 90s Montana model is rarely seen, and with its age, it is in a good playing condition. Furthermore, it is a Centennial Collection model, so please check it out for yourself. Hard case included
