Description
Martin D-42 2001 Used Acoustic Guitar 2001
The D-42 is a popular model in Martin's 40s series lineup, boasting a distinctive and elegant look and sound. This particular instrument is a used 2001 model. It features a spruce top, rosewood sides and back, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, open gold tuners, snowflake fingerboard inlays, forward-shifted scalloped X-bracing, and a vertical logo. This is a prestigious model that follows the vintage-flavored specifications that are the roots of the D-45. It combines the powerful sound characteristic of a dreadnought with brilliant harmonics. It has the sparkling high harmonics typical of the 40s series, along with a rich and deep resonance. The sound separation is clear, and it can play a wide range of tones, from powerful tones to delicate ones. Unlike the "45," the "42" is characterized by its strong soft resonance. An L.R. Baggs Lyric pickup has been added, making it ready for stage use. While there are some minor dents and buckle scratches on the back, it is in remarkably good condition considering its age. Enjoy the rich, harmonic-filled sound of this '42 model. A generic hard case is included.
