Taylor GS Sitka Spruce Indian Rosewood 2006 Used Acoustic Guitar 2006
Founded in 1974 by Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug, Taylor Guitars has grown rapidly since the 2000s thanks to its innovative ideas, high technical skill, and sophisticated marketing. Now, it is one of the world's top acoustic guitar brands, enjoying strong support from a wide range of users, from general consumers to professional musicians. This particular instrument is a "GS Sitka Spruce x Indian Rosewood," based on Taylor's unique Grand Symphony body shape, finished with a classic combination of a Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood sides and back. This is a used 2006 model. It features a Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood sides and back, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, Taylor original gold tuners, dot fingerboard inlays, abalone rosette, and Taylor's unique "Grand Symphony" body shape, which is a dreadnought shape with a deeper waist. It is more comfortable to hold than a dreadnought, while retaining the range and rich bass components of a dreadnought. Spruce produces a dry, bright sound with a clear core. Rosewood for the sides and back offers a wide sound range and a rich, weighty tone. Used in a wide range of instruments, it provides a well-balanced sound across many frequencies. It's a tonewood that produces warm bass and sparkling, brilliant treble. A classic combination, it produces a familiar sound. The tone fully expresses the sparkling character of steel strings, and the loud bass and spacious sound unique to this body size make it an appealing guitar for various genres. The warm, woody tone that doesn't harshly hit the ears is another reason why it's so pleasant to play. It features a well-regarded thin neck grip. The thinness makes it easy to handle and versatile, making it easy to switch to from an electric guitar. It's very appealing because it's easy to play not only for strumming but also for playing intricate phrases such as solo guitar. It's an all-rounder guitar that can handle any style. The original pickup has been removed and replaced with a pin of the same diameter. It appears that air got trapped between the paint and the wood when the pickup was installed, causing some clouding and checking on the paint surface, but it doesn't penetrate and is only on the surface. There are some scratches that look like they were made by a fingernail near the 3rd fret on the back of the neck, on the side of the 6th string, and behind the 5th fret. There is also a rice-grain-sized clouding on the back. Overall, there are some light scratches from wiping and very minor dents, but considering its age, this instrument is in relatively good condition. The neck and playability are both excellent and it's ready to play right away. Why not add it to your collection? An original hard case is included.
