This is an extremely rare non-cutaway model, produced during a transitional period of specifications featuring the ES2 pickup and X-bracing!
The instrument shows signs of use typical of its age, such as small dents on the top and tarnishing around the tuning pegs.
There are no major scratches or damage, and the fret wear is minimal. The current playable condition, requiring no adjustments, is a testament to Taylor's quality.
The large body size and the thin satin finish on the back contribute to a solid volume.
The pickup system features Taylor's original Expression System II.
The ES2 piezo is positioned to the side of the saddle, rather than under it, resulting in a clearer sound with less compression. This also allows for better output of the body's vibrations. Taylor implemented the ES2 pickup in 2014 and adopted V-bracing from 2018, making this instrument a very rare transitional model produced only for four years during that period.
In addition, the non-cutaway specification is still very rare today, and its lustrous midrange, which cannot be found in other instruments, is particularly appealing.
