Item Description

Rare 1913 Oklahoma Statehood & Masonic Knights Templar Commemorative Watch Fob.

This is a beautiful and historically significant watch fob issued for the 32nd Triennial Conclave of the Knights Templar, held in Denver, Colorado, in August 1913. This specific piece was commissioned for the delegation from Bartlesville, Oklahoma Commandery No. 46.

Historical Significance:

Oklahoma Statehood: Admitted as the 46th state just six years prior (1907), the "No. 46" on this fob proudly celebrates Oklahoma's early statehood.

The 1913 Denver Conclave: Known as one of the largest Masonic gatherings in history, the event saw over 60,000 Knights march through Denver in a "blaze of glory." This fob served as an official delegate's badge for the Bartlesville contingent.

Premier Manufacturer: The reverse is clearly marked "The Henderson-Ames Co., Kalamazoo, MI." Henderson-Ames was the world’s leading manufacturer of high-end fraternal regalia, making this a "gold standard" collectible for Masonic historians.

Detailed Design & Symbolism:

Obverse (Front): Features the 1907 Seal of Oklahoma, showing a laborer and a Native American shaking hands under the figure of Justice, symbolizing the union of the Oklahoma and Indian Territories. Above is the motto "Labor Omnia Vincit" (Labor Conquers All).

Ornamentation: The seal is framed by decorative wheat stalks and a prominent bull’s head at the base, representing the agricultural strength of the young state.

Fraternal Symbols: Includes the Knights Templar Delta (Triangle) and the "No. 46" chapter designation.

Condition:

Excellent vintage condition with a rich, natural patina. The die-struck details remain remarkably crisp. No major dents or deep scratches. Please see high-resolution photos for a full visual description.
