This 1950 Ford 2-Door Sedan is a stunning example of classic American hot rod craftsmanship, blending traditional styling with custom flair. Professionally built and painted by Dave England and Frank Mund of Muskegon, Michigan, the car sports a striking Teal Green finish that perfectly complements its clean, white custom interior. The bodywork has been tastefully modified with frenched headlights and taillights, shaved door handles, and a 3-inch lowered stance, giving the vehicle a smooth, sleek silhouette that turns heads wherever it goes.

Under the hood lies a 1953 Ford Flathead V8 engine, a legendary powerplant known for its raw character and distinctive sound. Paired with a 3-speed manual transmission, the drivetrain offers a truly authentic vintage driving experience. The side pipe exhaust not only adds an aggressive aesthetic but also produces a deep, throaty rumble that echoes the car?s hot rod heritage. With only 62,000 miles shown, this Ford remains a capable cruiser with plenty of life left.

Inside, the interior has been beautifully finished by Dale Dawson of L.A. Trim in Lowell, Michigan. The white custom upholstery gives a fresh, retro feel, balanced by thoughtful modern touches like a Sony stereo system cleverly hidden in the glovebox. The cabin remains clean and functional while preserving the era?s charm, making it as enjoyable to sit in as it is to drive.

The exterior details showcase a creative blend of custom and vintage components. A 1937 DeSoto-style 5-ripple front bumper adds a touch of pre-war elegance, while the 1943 Chevy-style license guard provides an additional nod to mid-century Americana. The finished trunk continues the car?s polished look, rounding out a build that clearly prioritizes quality and aesthetic balance.

Altogether, this 1950 Ford 2-Door Sedan is more than just a classic carit?s a thoughtfully executed custom hot rod with personality and presence. With professional craftsmanship from nose to tail, this vehicle is a show-worthy cruiser ready for both car meets and weekend drives. Whether you?re a collector or a vintage enthusiast, this cool custom Ford is a standout piece of automotive artistry.

About Garage Kept Motors

Garage Kept Motors, LLC specializes in classic and specialty online auto sales.

For our consignors, we are the only auto brokers that offer a Transparent Sale Disclosure. This means, when a car sells, we provide an exact copy of the Bill of Sale. We do this so our clients know exactly who bought their car, where it went, and most importantly how much we sold it for. No funny business.

For our buyers, our vehicles are listed on the Internet, with over 100 photos, including undercarriage pictures, and walk-around videos of the vehicles running plus a narrative-style write-up of the cars history and features. Our international exposure allows us to sell cars across the globe, and we sell a majority of them out of state and overseas. We deliver honesty and consistency in our photos, so buyers, both near and far, can invest with confidence sight unseen though we do recommend to check the vehicle out in person or have a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) done. We are not a gallery. Vehicles can be seen locally by appointment as potential buyers are given our undivided attention.
