The non-PoE device intelligently detects no power and only transmits data.

Port-based VLAN
When you enable the extend mode with DIP switch, switch divides traffic for ports 1-8 to prevent IP camera's muliticast or broadcast storm from affecting each other.
Link Extention to 250m
PoE (Power Over Ethernet) usually has a maximum run of around 100 meters. When extend mode is enabled, it will allow you to increase your run to a distance of 250 meters. the maximum speed will downgrade to 10Mbps.
