UPDATEMy Clubman "Nigel" is up for sale, its a cracking thing > find another.....

During last year I had a few good runs and used for work (commuting) a little in summer but not really had time to fully enjoy it and I have other projects that I could do to crack on with.

Few years back (2018) it had a full nut a bolt restoration by a previous owner including:

Full body restoration with a professional respray in Tahiti blue.

MPI front seats and door cards.

Original engine and gearbox

Work included:

Wax oiled inside, several layers of rust proofing underneath and top coated in Tahiti blue as well.

New front floors

New outer sills

New A panels

New Front wing and panel

Door skins

Rear door repairs

Rear valance

Copper brake pipes

New front disc brakes

Subframes and all suspension powder coated

New Fuel tank and sender

Sound proofed floors and roof

New wheels and tyres

New front windscreen

New front door window seals

New sliding rear seals

Original engine with numbers matching.

Whilst in my care I have added a new speedo cable and replacement clocks as rev counter packed in (original included in the sale) and done basic service that's it.

As you can see from the pictures it is a real head turner however it could be 10/10 with a bit more time but I think these cars should be on the road and enjoyed.

Being picky and 100% clarity > only bad bits are > paint peel around filler cap, must have got some fuel behind the paint at some point> absolutely no rust the metal is like new needs preparing and some paint  > £250 should cover it and this is factored in the price.

Few microscopic bubbles in arch flairs > against looks like a paint reaction the flairs are plastic, no rust.

Slight oil weep from a dry seal, does not specifically loose or use oil but like to leave its calling card like most classics.

Just to repeat as this has been the focus on previous question > absolutely zero rust or rot everything has been done to high standard.

Engine and gear box are all good, its actually quite spritely being the 1100cc.

Summary > honest little car, investment opportunity these are rare now, parts are readily available.

Open to sensible offers but I don't need to sell just a shame its not getting more regular time out the garage and I have a backlog of garage work to do so could really use the space.

I currently have a few health conditions so spending more time at home this coming month, if I get opportunity I will start running it about.

Lastly I have talked to many interesting enthusiast about this car which has been great but also some dreamers who want it for 10 bob and a conker, please be realistic this is a £12k car all day long.

Non refundable deposit of £200 will be required to secure the car.

It will be sold as seen.

Car must be collected within 7 days unless agreed otherwise.

Cash, bank transfer accepted.

UPDATE.

I took opportunity of a good run out today to local restoration specialist (fun ride out 50 miles faultless, 30 MPH bends feels like a race track!.

We did take off the tape from petrol fill area to inspect for quotation (picture added), its as expected (good metal) just needs prep and paint (just to give full clarity to the advert).  I added some rust preventor and protective tape back on for now, I will not get to this for some time, my paint guy is rammed so it will be a job for the new owner as reflected in the price.

The timing cover oil seal was weeping on return as it been stood, it had new oil a few months back so a bit thinner perhaps.

I have ordered replacement parts and service kit totalling £88 (might as well do together) and I will see if I get time to do it, if not the parts will be sold with the car ready for new owner bonding time ;)

The restoration company (VC Classics) was surprised at my asking price and recommended it should be on sale for much more that I have it up for given the condition.

Lets see how it goes, grab the bargain now before summer,  thanks for your interest, Br Darren.
