Vintage 1981 Timex Marlin Calendar Mechanical Watch (27980 10581) w/ Date This elegant vintage Timex mechanical watch would look great on your wrist. It's been mostly disassembled, cleaned, and oiled with professional Moebius watch oils/greases. I've added a new gasket to the back seal plate. This watch features the Timex M105 movement which is a manual windup watch. The bottom of the dial has TAIWAN written in tiny letters. Condition: This watch is in excellent condition, both visually and time-keeping wise. The crystal has been polished. I normally completely disassemble these Timex watches for a thorough cleaning, but this watch was running great and I couldn't get the crystal out without destroying it. So I just oiled the exposed parts from the lower plate. The expandable wristband has been thoroughly cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner. Mechanical Watches: Mechanical watches aren't as accurate as a quartz watch, and Timex will never be as accurate as a Rolex. But that's not why we like these.
