This is a rare NGC certified ancient Roman coin minted under the reign of Antoninus Pius. The denomination of this coin is a Dupondius and it was minted between 138-161 AD during the Roman Imperial period in Laodicea. The reverse depicts goddess Tyche facing left.

Whether or not it was a cause or a consequence of his decision never to leave Italy, the period of his reign – from AD 138 to 161 – was the most peaceful in all of Rome's imperial history.
