This exceptional Fender Custom Shop Master Built guitar, crafted by renowned luthier Jason Smith, is a highly sought-after 1961 Stratocaster Relic in vibrant Lake Placid Blue. Built in 2013, this used instrument features a perfect balance of vintage aesthetics and modern playability. The alder 2-piece body, quarter-sawn maple neck with a comfortable oval "C" shape, and rosewood fingerboard with 9.5" radius and medium jumbo frets deliver a classic feel and tone. The neck's finish shows authentic aging, with meticulous fretboard edge treatment for smooth playability.

Equipped with Fender Custom Shop "FAT 50s" pickups and vintage-style wiring, including a red ceramic capacitor, this Strat offers a rich, articulate sound with excellent response. The finish exhibits tasteful relic wear, weather checking, and a balanced, vibrant Lake Placid Blue hue that ages gracefully. The guitar features a vintage synchronized tremolo bridge, vintage-style tuning machines, and dot inlays with Micarta white dots.

This instrument is in excellent condition, with only minor signs of use, and has a fret life of over 85%. The setup provides easy playability with a comfortable action. Included with the guitar are the original hard case, certification, tremolo arm, bridge cover, back panel with screws, shield cable, and strap—everything needed for optimal performance and protection.
