Ebbots Field Flannels

Short Sleeve Wool Baseball Jersey

History: Though the Grays played home games at Pittsburgh’s Forbes Field, they took their name from the small suburb of Homestead, Pennsylvania. After playing as an independent club for a few season prior, the Grays joined the Negro National League in 1935 and featured star first baseman Buck Leonard. A thirteen-time Negro League All Star, Leonard was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1972.

Made in the USA. Authentic reproduction of the jersey worn in 1944 by the Washington Homestead Grays. Wool flannel with jacquard stripes. Felt lettering. Stars and stripes patch and W for Washington on sleeve. Felt #20 on back in honor of Leonard.
