Hummel 71 “Stormy Weather” TMK6 Goebel Figurine Umbrella Boy Girl 6.25" Offered here is the classic porcelain figurine “Stormy Weather,” produced by M.I. Hummel and manufactured by Goebel of W. Germany. This beloved design depicts two children standing closely together beneath a large umbrella as they shelter from the rain. One child holds a walking stick while both lean together under the shelter of the oversized umbrella, capturing the warm storytelling style that made Hummel figurines famous worldwide. This example corresponds to model number 71, one of the most recognized and enduring Hummel designs based on the artwork of Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel. The underside bears the Goebel W. Germany hallmark, identifying the figurine as produced during the TMK6 trademark era (1979–1990). The figurine features detailed hand-painted coloration including the deep blue umbrella, traditional clothing, and the expressive faces characteristic of authentic Hummel craftsmanship. The base also retains the titled plaque reading “Stormy Weather / Unter einem Dach.” The piece measures approximately 6.25 inches tall, making it a desirable display size and one of the more recognizable Hummel compositions.
Condition Report : This figurine is in very good vintage condition overall. The porcelain retains a clean glossy glaze and strong hand-painted coloration throughout. The delicate details including the umbrella, walking stick, clothing folds, and facial features appear intact with no visible cracks or repairs observed. There are light signs of age and shelf wear visible along the underside base including minor dirt accumulation consistent with normal display over time.
