Description

This is a complete hilt for a Japanese short sword.

★Ogaki style
★The sharkskin on the hilt is in good condition. There are three oya-gumi (sword marks).
★Includes one pair of fuchi-kashira (sword guards).
★One pair of menuki (sword guards) with a dragonfly motif known as "kachi-mushi" (victory insects).
★Includes matching tsuba (sword guard) and two seppa (sword guards).
★The hairpin (kogai) is in very good condition.

I've heard it dates to the mid-Edo period.

Perfect for those who enjoy customizing their own swords.
