    Description:

    ER70S-6, 3/32" Mild Steel TIG Rods Welding Wire 3/32"×36" 5 LB/BOX.

    Features: ER70S-6 is a general purpose welding wire for fabrication of mild steel which contains higher levels of manganese and silicon to produce high quality welds when used on dirty, oily, or rusty steel for TIG welding process. The deoxidizers also provide better wetting, a flatter bead shape and the capability of faster travel speeds, as well as better fluidity of the weld pool, thus creating a smoother bead appearance and resulting in minimal post-weld grinding.
    ER70S-6 has the highest combination of manganese and silicon deoxidizers, permitting higher welding currents with 100% CO2 shielding gas and leaving a smoother weld bead with little to zero post-weld cleanup. CO2 shielding gas gives deeper penetration at faster welding speeds than argon mixtures, however the greater the argon content of the shielding gas the smoother the bead appearance with less spatter.
    Typical Applications: repairs on a variety of mild and low alloy steel; small diameter pipe and tubing; sheet metal applications; root pass pipe welding.
