Ray over leather on the wood case

An embellished copper / brass ring at the top and metal strip running along side

See photos as it the case has some wear - spots where the leather is missing from the wood

The knife has an edge, some light patina (see photos)

The estate informed me that the set was obtained by a great - great grandparent during a military tour in the early 1900s, and it was old then
