This OFFICIAL, ORIGINAL STAR WARS :THE FORCE AWAKENS BACKLIT (non D/S) theatrical MOVIE POSTER from 2015 is a VERYRARE VARIANT (listed below) of the official movie posters produced to promote the Star Wars film, The Force Awakens. As a backlit movie poster, it is printed on a TRANSLUCENT POLYESTER FILM MATERIAL which is very durable.


VARIANTS/ODDITIES/RARITIES:

- **DECEMBER 17 RELEASE DATE**
The official release date in the US was December 18, however in some other countries it was December 17 (see list below) - There are some English speaking countries (official language) that had the December 17 release dat;: however, this poster does not match those English versions.

- **The Phrase "IN CINEMAS DECEMBER 17"**
as opposed to just the usual displayed date by itself "December 18" OR "December 17"" (some countries), OR the usual phrase alone "In Cinemas Soon"

- **The Phrase "IN 2D,3D & IMAX 3D" **
as opposed to the USUAL displayed "IN 3D, REAL 3D,&IMAX 3D"

Does not match any of the examples of English versions from English speaking countries on the StarWarsmovieposter site who I contacted. An employee there did a "deep dive" for me, but could not locate exactly what variant this poster was. Possibly an English version poster instead of being in the national language of one on the countries below... Possibly not. Regardless, this particular poster (In English) is indeed, EXTREMELY RARE!




POSTER MATERIAL:
The poster is printed on a type of TRANSLUCENT POLYESTER FILM MATERIAL, commonly known as backlit film or by the brand name Duratrans which allows light to shine through for use in lightboxes with a light source behind the print. Key characteristic of the material include :
- Translucency. The semi-transparent nature of the film allows light to diffuse evenly through the material, enhancing colors and contrast to create a vibrant, glowing effect. (see photos).
- Durability. The material is a semi-rigid, heavy-duty film that is resistant to moisture, smearing, scratches, and fading, ensuring longevity in high-traffic areas like cinema lobbies.
- Print Quality. They are printed with dense, high-quality UV-resistant inks (sometimes on both sides) to maintain color vibrancy when illuminated from behind.

CONDITION :USED GREAT CONDITION. (See Photos - judge for yourself). There is a small defect that seems to be due to moisture. The material is fine, but there is a slight line running horizontally across the top.

NOTE :ALL PHOTOS WERE TAKEN WITH A SHEET OF PLEXIGLASS IN FROM OF THE POSTER, so there are some REFLECTIONS.
