Product Introduction:
This CW trainer companion operates by simulating a composite mouse-keyboard USB device via its chip. No driver installation is required on the computer, as Windows natively supports universal mouse/keyboard drivers.

Product Specifications:
Interface: Type-C
DC Jack: 3.5mm
PCB Dimensions: 29mm x 16mm (excluding connectors)

Modes: This product (hereafter referred to as the converter) supports two modes and two types of key mappings:
Mouse Mode: Maps the hand key presses or the paddle key's “beep” and “click” left/right sounds to corresponding mouse left/right clicks sent to the computer. Operation is identical to standard mouse clicks, meaning any software operable with a mouse is compatible in this mode.
Keyboard Mode: Maps the paddle key's “click” and ‘tick’ sounds to the keyboard's “[”] and “]” keys, sending these commands to the computer. This operates identically to pressing the “[”] and “]” keys on a keyboard. Commonly used on the Vband website, some peers refer to this mode as Vband Mode.

Usage Instructions:
Connect the adapter to your key using a dual-male 3.5mm three-section audio cable. If your key has a 6.5mm plug, additionally use a 3.5mm male-to-6.5mm female adapter. (Always plug the key first, then the USB)
Connect the adapter to your computer/mobile device and launch the corresponding mobile or PC software. For mobile practice, you'll need a Type-C male to USB-A female adapter or cable, or opt for a Type-C port module.
When practicing with the Vband website, simultaneously hold both paddles while inserting the USB into your computer. Maintain this connection for at least 2 seconds to automatically switch the adapter to keyboard mode. By default, the adapter enters mouse mode upon insertion; subsequent USB connections will revert it to mouse mode.
You can then practice sending Morse code according to the features of various software or websites.
When practicing with mobile apps, press the module's buttons to move the cursor to the software's button area before operating the key.
Modules with USB ports and Type-C ports have identical functionality and performance; only the interface differs. Both support mobile and computer software.

Principle Explanation:
After practicing CW copying, many hams wish to practice CW keyer operation. Several methods are available:
★ Keyer + Oscillator: Requires no computer, only a simple frequency oscillator. Disadvantage: cannot interact with computer software.
★ Key + Portable Trainer: Many trainers feature screens or even game functions for added engagement. The drawback is their high cost.
★ Key + Adapter + Mobile/PC: This is the most economical and flexible approach. This product falls into this category, supporting various mobile and PC software. It even enables CW communication with real people via web interfaces. The adapter is inexpensive and compatible with any key.
