Beginning in 1970, Mebetoys, an Italian subsidiary of Mattel, produced a deluxe line of diecast cars in 1:43 scale called "Gran Toros." In Italy they were marketed as "Sputafuoco," and they were also branded in German as Heisse Räder (Hot Wheels). These cars are slightly larger than the traditional Hot Wheels (at 1:64 scale). They feature moving parts -- doors, trunk, and hood all open to reveal detailed interiors including the engine, seating, and a rubber spare tire.

This item is a diecast version of the Toyota 2000GT, a limited production touring car produced by Toyota in cooperation with Yamaha between 1967 and 1970. Only 351 (of the actual automobile) were manufactured. The car rides the line between authentic supercar and fantasy that makes Hot Wheels one of the most popular toy brands in history.

This item is in excellent condition with minimal wear and solid paint. The wheels are slightly out of alignment but they turn freely and the toy moves in a straight line when pushed or launched. Check out the photos for more details.
