From the renowned BOTTEGA VENETA brand, here is a rare "LIDO" PAILLE INTRECCIO NUVOLATO SOFT CAIMAN FUME tote bag featuring the textural (and highly durable!) nuvolato weave in a versatile neutral colorway. The Nuvolato weave is made with tubular leather instead of the more typical flat leather strips used in the majority of Bottega's intrecciato weaves. The weave is hand wrought in a horizontal pattern, adding a new fettuccia for each passage. As the work evolves, it is knotted regularly to highlight the intreccio and create the vertical line pattern throughout the piece. Due to the weaves overall complexity, the body of the purse takes at least one day for a skilled craftsman to complete.
The roomy tote features an open top with two adjustable crocodile handles, and a coordinating suede lined pouch with zip closure. The bag is the perfect size to all your essentials, without being too deep to find items quickly and efficiently.
WHAT I LOVE ABOUT THIS BAG
1) Overall uniqueness and exclusivity with no overt logo. While I love designer bags, I do not want to carry the same style as the masses; for this reason, I generally purchase limited edition styles or avoid seasonal "IT" bags like the plague. This bag is obviously Bottega, without being the Bottega carried by everyone else;
2) Outstanding quality and craftsmanship. BV elevated their standard intrecciato weave through the use of the Nuvolato technique, making this particular bag/style stand apart from the others;
3) Durability, primarily due to the thicker Nuvolato technique/weave. Unlike Cabats which crease and relax into a flat silhouette over time, this purse is hearty and maintains its original shape. Due to the innovative weave and the tote's classic styling and quality materials, this bag will definitely stand the test of time!

CONDITION DETAILS
This bag is preowned and will therefore show some signs of prior use on both the exterior and interior of the bag. I purposely provide unedited high-resolution pictures taken in natural light of every angle of the bag (front, back, top, bottom, sides, corners and interior) to accurately reflect item's condition to the best of my ability. Any moderate and/or major condition details are clearly notated under "Item Condition" with a corresponding picture with notated area clearly circled. I am also happy to answer any questions and/or provide additional photos so buyers may assess condition prior to purchase.
Minor signs of wear which correspond to the item's age and normal use may include the following which I have attempted to capture in the photos provided:
EXTERIOR: Minor marks, scratches and/or accretion on exterior of bag that result from normal use, including handle wear, edge wear on corners of bag and/or minor pilling if exterior is constructed of suede or textile. Hide and dye variations which are common with animal skins due to their naturally varying texture and thickness. Relaxation of shape and minor creasing typical of animal skins which soften with use/over time (I store the majority of my bags upright with paper or felt inserts when not in use to preserve shape to best of ability).
INTERIOR: Minor marks, pilling (depending on interior material, like suede or textile) and/or accretion resulting from normal use.
HARDWARE: Minor scratches and/or patina resulting from age/normal use.
OTHER: Owned by non-smoker in pet free home. No residual perfume odors.
