Yiwu Mahei Ancient Tree Sheng Pu-erh · 2018

Yiwu · Yunnan · China

This tea is produced from pure material of 500-year-old ancient tea trees from Mahei Village, Yiwu, one of the most respected micro-origins within the Yiwu tea region.

The leaves are the traditional “black-strip” (hei tiao zi) style , known for strength, depth, and aging potential.

Hand Selection

What makes this tea exceptionally rare is its processing method:

every single leaf was hand-selected, one by one , without blending, shortcuts, or mechanical sorting.

This level of selection is extremely time-consuming and labor-intensive, resulting in a yield so small that it cannot be reproduced at scale.

Taste & Energy

The tea delivers strong tea energy (cha qi), accompanied by a clear and elevated aroma. The liquor is smooth and soft, with a fragrant broth and gentle, flowing texture that unfolds steadily on the palate.

Power and refinement remain in balance — never aggressive, never thin.
