Description
Gibson Les Paul Custom Wine Red 1976 "Left Hand" Used Electric Guitar
We have a very rare, left-handed 1976 Gibson Les Paul Custom in Wine Red! This guitar features a transitional mahogany body (not the pancake construction), a three-piece maple neck with a volute, and an ebony fingerboard. It features engraved numbered PAF pickups. Its mature yet powerful sound makes it easy to play even today, and the maple neck's distinctive attack delivers a good tone that retains definition even when heavily distorted. The pickup covers have been replaced. The DC resistance is 7.34K for the front and 7.39K for the rear (including the controls). All pots date to 1976. Other changes include replacing two pickup escutcheons, the nut, selector knob, and the bridge and tailpiece, including the anchor. The screw on the top of the rod cover is stripped, making it difficult to remove.
Although some parts have been replaced, it is in fairly good condition considering that it has been nearly 50 years since it was manufactured.
This is a very rare left-handed vintage Gibson!
