Antique French medical induction apparatus in its original wooden case, labeled “APPAREIL D’INDUCTION – VOLTA FARADIQUE – Système L. Gaiffe à Paris.”

This late 19th to early 20th century electrotherapy device was produced by L. Gaiffe of Paris, a well-known manufacturer of scientific and medical instruments. Devices of this type were historically used for voltaic and faradic electrical stimulation in therapeutic and experimental settings.

Condition: The apparatus remains housed in its original hinged wooden case with fitted internal compartments. The case shows expected age-related wear, patina, surface marks, and finish wear consistent with age. Brass fittings show oxidation. One interior wooden divider is loose but present. Internal components and accessories are present as shown in the photos; completeness cannot be guaranteed beyond what is pictured. Due to age and lack of appropriate equipment, the device has not been tested and is sold strictly as a historical collectible, display piece, or for restoration. It is not intended for modern medical use.

All items shown in the photographs are included. Please review photos carefully as they are part of the description.
