1974 Rover P6 3500 Auto

This is originally a South African car so it has spent most of its life in a warm climate hence no rot. The body work has a few age related marks on it but all round it is extremely good. The chrome is excellent and has no pitting.

The car runs lovely and benefits from a recent new fuel pump and battery. The engine is excellent and has superb oil pressure.

The interior is extremely good too with a good head lining and very good seats and carpet.

All of the controls work apart from the rev counter which I guess is probably an easy fix. The period radio works well also. All locks work on the doors too.

The vehicle pulls really well and in my view could be used as an every day run about, as its that good. The automatic gearbox is very smooth and you actually forget you are driving a 52 year old vehicle.

All 4 tyres are excellent and I have recently upgraded the headlights to a modern brighter unit.

I think this must be one of the best around now and I am only selling it because I have too many other vehicles. I have had some fun with it, but it feels its time to pass it onto somebody who will use it more regularly than I do.

The mileage shows 34000km, so I guess it must have gone around the clock, but this is still only 83000 miles.

I bought the vehicle because it was a South African car and because it is pretty much rot free.
