# Zinc Oxide-Eugenol
Cement Directions
1. General Use:
- Primarily for
temporary dental restorations of Class III, IV, and limited Class I cavities.
- Suitable for fillings
in deciduous teeth of Class II.
2. Procedure:
- Use a clean, dry
glass mixing slab at room temperature (22–24°C) and humidity of 50±10%.
- Ensure the spatula is
non-corrosive, free from dust, set cement, and moisture.
Powder and Liquid
Ratio:
- For cement: 1.5 g
powder : 0.5 ml liquid.
- For base: 1.8 g
powder : 0.5 ml liquid.
Mixing Technique:
- Divide the measured
powder into three portions: 1/4, 2/4, and 1/4.
- Incorporate 1/4 of
the powder into the liquid and mix.
- Add 2/4 of the powder
and mix further.
- Finally, add the
remaining 1/4 of the powder.
- Total mixing time
should not exceed 90 seconds.
3. Specifications:
- Mixing time: 1.5
minutes.
- Solidifying time:
3–10 minutes.
- Resistance (24 hours
after mixing): ≥25 MPa.
- Corrosion in water:
≤1.5%.
- Arsenic content: ≤2
mg/kg.
4. Packing Standard:
- Powder: 10 g per
bottle (<2).
- Liquid: 6 ml per
bottle (>1).
5. Shelf Life: 3 years.
