The Sakamata Shad is a premium Japanese soft plastic lure designed to create wide sliding action and
sharp darting movements with minimal water resistance.
Its streamlined baitfish profile allows the lure to respond instantly to rod input, making it highly effective
in clear water and under high fishing pressure.
This lure can be fished as both a soft jerkbait and a swimbait, adapting easily to multiple rigs
and retrieve styles.
The smooth, flowing body line with no unnecessary protrusions creates low water resistance, making darting actions easy and allowing for a wide inertial slide. It also supports high-speed darting action, enabling the lure to deceive bass even in open water and trigger aggressive reaction bites.
Salt content varies by size as follows:
· 8 inch / 7 inch / 4 inch (upper section 0%): 5% salt
· 6 inch / 5 inch / 4.5 inch: 10% salt
· 3 inch / 2.5 inch / 2 inch: Non-salt material
The non-salt material features enhanced tensile strength, providing excellent hook-holding performance and reducing tearing or damage to the soft bait.
A hook-set assist marking is molded into the body, allowing the hook to be rigged straight without twisting.
Note:
· Sizes 3 inch and smaller feature a solid body design with no deep groove.
· Colors may appear different depending on salt content.

Salt content and weight by size: · 8 inch: 65% (41.0 g) · 7 inch: 70% (28.0 g) · 6 inch: 75% (17.0 g) · 5 inch: 75% (11.3 g) The upper section contains 0% salt, keeping the center of gravity low and maintaining excellent balance for a stable, bite-inducing action. Note:
· Due to the high salt content, the material appears cloudier than the normal version. · The 7 inch model also incorporates high-density glass sand material.
KEEL
The keel, essential to the Sakamata Shad’s signature kick-up darting action, redirects water downward, creating a powerful upward popping motion. It also acts like a rudder, stabilizing the darting action and preventing unwanted roll or wobble.
TAIL
The forked tail responds fluidly to darting and other actions, fluttering naturally to imitate the realistic movement of a baitfish’s tail fin.MATCHED RIG
