Antique Georgian silkwork embroidery featuring a shepherdess with her sheep resting under a tree. The embroidery is worked in silk on a silk ground. Hand painted detail to the shepherdess' face and hands. It is framed under glass in an oval wooden gilt frame. The frame has some scuffs but structurally sound. The backing has a "Mrs. Kenneth Wilson" label. Displays beautifully with general age related wear including some discoloration, toning and loose debris. There are some splits, pulling, holes and fraying to the silk ground on the left side of the embroidery and the shepherdess' face. Please review pictures for condition.
