Grateful Dead - Owsley Stanley Original Belt Buckle - 1983 #7 - 2.5" Belt Buckle

 

 This is an original Owsley Stanley buckle, from 1983, with the #7 casting mark and the etched GDP on the back.   The lineage on this one is super special.  

 This was given by Owsley, to an executive at Bill Graham Productions - one of Bill's closest partners in the business. It was held in that person's possession since being received, and is here available for purchase.

 This is a near mint example, and has incredible features to show how "mint" this is.  The "point' on the buckle which would go into the belt holes is sharp, not worn down at all... un-bent from being pulled.. well, that's just what happens when you don't wear it!

 The front of the buckle is beautiful. No scratches or dings, as it has sat in this box for decades.

 The hinge on the back - often you see these get loose, or bent or pulled. In this case the hinge attachment is solid, straight and tight. In fact to take the two pictures that I did, took just more than minimal effort to get both photos - collapsed and outstretched.
