Here is a neat example of a Late Eocene aged fossil crab known as Brachioplax. These crabs are found within hard rock concretions that erode out of the Lincoln Creek Formation in Washington state. Crab species outside of the typically found Pulalius Vulgaris are considered rare. These crabs are prepared from the concretions using mechanical tools that is a time consuming process. Some of these crabs I offer can potentially be prepared further and make great preparation practice or a budget example of this unique fossil crab for your fossil collection or as a gift!
