This Vintage Couroc of Monterey California Monarch Butterfly Serving Tray is a medium-sized, multicolor tray made of phenolic resin with two inlaid Monarch Butterflies.  The outline of the butterflies, and the vegetation, are inlaid brass.  The tray measures 12.5" x  9.5".  Made in the United States by the Couroc of Monterey brand, this tray exudes a mid-century modern aesthetic and is a functional yet decorative piece for any home.  

The tray appears very well cared for and the surface is in good condition for its age.  There are no chips.  The last 3 photos, and the video, were taken in aggressive light to show the wear on the  top surface at its worst. There is some darkening in one corner that looks like a liquid stain, and a light swooping mark below the upper butterfly, that are visible in this light.
