Highly detailed resin Spark model of the Corvette Callaway #51 Callaway Sport Le Mans 24H 1994 in 1/43 scale.

Information about the car:

In the 1994 24 Hours of Le Mans, Callaway Sport Inc. entered a Corvette C4 in the GT2 class, bearing the number 51. The driving team consisted of Frank Jelinski, Boris Said and Michel Maisonneuve.

The car was powered by a 6.2-litre Chevrolet V8 engine, known as the "SuperNatural 383" LT-1 small block, delivering 435 horsepower.

During the race, the team qualified in the 18th position with a lap time of 4:17.210.

Unfortunately, when the car was low on fuel, the team attempted to refuel by having their lead mechanic throw a fuel bottle over the trackside barrier, climb over to retrieve it, and pour the fuel into the car.

This action, deemed as "receiving improper assistance on course," led to their disqualification from the event.
