YAMAHA LL-25J 1992 Used Acoustic Guitar

We have just received the "LL-25J," a Japanese-made guitar likely manufactured in 1992 based on its serial number. It features a solid wood construction with a top of Hokkaido spruce and back and sides of Palisade. The fingerboard and bridge are made of ebony. While this was considered a more affordable model in the series at the time, it boasts luxurious features such as high-quality woods from an era when wood was more abundant than it is today, abalone binding, rosette, original position markers, and gold hardware. A guitar with the same specifications (made in Japan with a solid wood body) would be difficult to find today. Furthermore, a catalog from that time reveals that a pickup system was available as an option under the "Easy Order Made" system. This model is equipped with a two-way mono pickup. The two-way system features an acoustic sensor on the back of the top and a par sensor directly under the bridge saddle, and the controls include mix, volume, treble, and bass. The push-lock mechanism allows you to stow the guitar when not in use, without interfering with your playing. Even on the used market, this option is rare, making it a recommended choice for those considering using this guitar for stage or recording. Based on the serial number and original catalog, this guitar appears to have been manufactured around 1992. While there are signs of wear, such as cloudy paint and minor scratches, common with Yamaha guitars of this era, there is no significant damage that would affect the sound, and playability is excellent. The jack is stiff, requiring some force when inserting. The neck is in excellent condition. With the strings set nearly straight, the string height is approximately 2mm above the 1st string and 2.75mm above the 6th string, producing a crisp, bright tone. While the frets show some wear, especially in the lower positions, they remain high enough for comfortable play without any noticeable buzzing or choking. There is still room in the truss rod, making this guitar in excellent condition for years to come. A hard case is included.
