YAMAHA L-41 1980 Used Acoustic Guitar
Yamaha is a world-renowned musical instrument manufacturer. This Japanese brand continues to evolve and produce numerous fine guitars. The "L" series, launched in 1974 with the release of the "L-31," is a premium model of the Yamaha folk guitar "FG" series, which has been a part of the acoustic guitar's evolution since its inception in Japan. Named after "Luxury," the series remains the flagship of Yamaha acoustic guitars, boasting gorgeous looks and a gorgeous sound that remain unchanged to this day. This instrument is the "L-41," the top model in the regular line at the time, positioned below the Custom Big Four. This instrument is from the first year of release, 1980. This model features a premium Hokkaido spruce top, premium palisade back and sides, mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, TM-30G gold tuning machines, original pearl fingerboard and bridge inlays, abalone rosette and trim, herringbone back strip, black pickguard, wood rod cover, and non-scalloped bracing. The L-41 was one of the new models in the L series, diversifying into CJ, N, S, and L models when the L-41 was released. It was the pinnacle of the L series at the time, followed by the L-55 CUSTOM, one of the L-4 models, and the L-53 CUSTOM, which was also one of the L-4 models. It was produced until 1985, when it was discontinued after about six years of production. While the L-55, L-53, L-31A, and L-15 were original jumbo types, the L-41, like the L-10, was the top-of-the-line original Western type. With abalone trim and fingerboard inlays, and pearl bridge inlays, this guitar lives up to its name. It offers a dynamic, voluminous sound with a slightly sweet, airy tone, and the clear, crisp resonance typical of Yamaha guitars of this period. It combines a deep, rich tone with a brilliant, sharp resonance. The "L" model's signature sound is a truly iconic Yamaha. Enjoy a folky sound with a clear core, a sweet, delicate tone with three-finger play, or a dynamic tone with strumming strokes. This guitar embodies the sound of yesteryear. A crack in the center seam of the top has been repaired, as well as a surface crack on the lower left side of the top. There is some white paint shading on the sides and parts of the back and neck. The neck is in excellent condition, with a comfortable setting and excellent playability, making it a highly practical guitar. The Yamaha L Series began in 1974, and has seen the birth of numerous derivatives and new models. Born during this turbulent period, this is the pinnacle of Yamaha's signature line-up, allowing you to fully experience the essence of Yamaha. Includes an original hard case.
