Hello and Welcome !  Today, the listing is a Rare, Antique, Mauchline Ware, Treen, Apothecary Bottle Holder with Green Bottle from Aberystwyth Wales.   Aberystwyth is a University and seaside town in Ceredin Wales.  This is a beautiful turned Sycamore wood bottle holder crafted by W & A Smith in Mauchline Scotland, late 1800's to early 1900's.  These items were popular souvenirs for Victorian tourists.  The holder is in wonderful condition and displays a rich golden patina and it houses a green apothecary jar that is rich in color, in overall good condition but the dauber is missing.  Most of these that are offered do not have the bottle ! The front of the holder has the image transfer of the town of Aberystwyth, but strangely it spells the town incorrectly which makes it even more unique !  The piece measures 4" tall x 1.75" across. Great piece ! Please see all pictures as they also represent condition.

MY ITEMS MAY BE A LITTLE ECLECTIC BUT THEY HAVE A SPECIAL MEANING AND BRING ME JOY AND I HOPE THEY WILL YOU ALSO.
