Very nice heavy iron hatchet head, dug at Fort Inge, Texas. From the collection of an elderly man (now deceased) who lived in Uvalde and owned several acres of land directly adjacent to the fort where he metal detected.  Fort Inge was in use from 1849 through the Civil War and was garrisoned by dragoons, mounted riflemen, and the Confederates also used the fort during the Civil War.

Please see my other listings for more dug relics.  Thanks for looking!
