An antique Japanese Satsuma pottery incense burner. This is an incredible piece - note all the different panels on the cover with the fish and objects, the many figures, and the cut-outs and the bow. I think the impressed mark is Kinkozan. The burner is approximately 95mm diameter and 72mm tall. On the cover opposite the bow is a little "stump" and I'm not sure if there was something else there originally. There has been a good professional stabilization of a hairline on the base - the tip of the pen is pointing to it and I've included a picture under a black light so you can see exactly where it is - this hairline was on one side of the base and part of the bottom but it did not go across to the other side of the base. Please see the photos for details. I have an equally fine quality Shizan diminutive egg-shaped jar listed separately. Thank you for looking!
