For sale as pictured: a modern Mattel-branded Polly Pocket World Doughnut Pajama Party playset, featuring the compact and five small accessories. Dolls are not included. Polly Pocket was originally produced by Bluebird Toys out of the UK in 1989. Mattel acquired Bluebird (as they are wont to do) in 1998 and began marketing the toys, with some notable redesigns, in the US. This item is a recent (2018) example of Mattel's PP output, the "Polly Pocket World Doughnut Pajama Party" playset. The offer includes only the compact (which looks like a doughnut when closed, thus the name) and five small accessories. Dolls are not included.

Polly Pocket World is Mattel's subline that reproduces most faithfully the aesthetic of the orignal Bluebird toys -- microplaysets within whimsical folding "compacts" and featuring tiny dolls and accessories. Other Mattel PP lines feature larger dolls with changeable clothes and vehicles and such. But true Polly fans are all about the compacts.
