This DVD is a collection of U.S. Navy training films pertaining to both traditional deep sea diving suits and SCUBA/Re-breather systems. These films are both detailed and informative about the specific specialized dive equipment featured in each film. Terrific, in-depth overview on historic Navy diving gear and techniques.

Late 1940s(?) film on inspecting and testing the standard deep-sea diving outfit. (24 min)

- The Deep Sea Diving School
About the Navy Deep-Sea Diving School, this 1943 black and white film was filmed in Silver Springs, Florida (23 min)

- USING THE STANDARD DEEP SEA DIVING OUFIT
1950s-era U.S. Navy film gives an explanation of the hard hat diving suit, and shows how it is used in Navy operations. (27 min)

- U.S. NAVY SCUBA DIVING MARK VI SEMI CLOSED CIRCUIT APPARATUS
1966 U.S. Navy training film highlights the Mark VI semi-closed circuit apparatus and shows how it works, how it is used, and how it should be maintained. It was used from the 1960s to the 1980s by Navy divers and U.S. Navy SEALs. (31 min)

- Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus
This is a 1956 training film for the Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus (SCUBA) Closed Circuit Pure Oxygen (sometimes known as a CCUBA). This type of unit has no bubbles, but is limited to 25 feet of depth and the duration of the dive is limited.(26 min)
