This hors d'oeuvre plate was created from the second Tulip Poplar tree at Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello estate. There were 2 Tulip Poplar trees that towered both sides of the lawn for decades, they were removed in 2008 and 2011. This was one of the pieces that came from the second tree in 2011 and created and signed by a local woodworker Kirk McCauley.
